Local 292
Chartered in 1940, Local 292 includes 2,200 workers at the Delphi Electronics & Safety plant in Kokomo, Ind., as well as 7,500 retirees. This amalgamated local also represents workers at American Food and Vending and Health Solutions.

Local 663
This "sit-down local" was chartered in 1939, when the Anderson, Ind., plant was part of General Motors. Today, the 1,650 active members of Local 663 work at Guide Corp., making rear lighting systems for GM vehicles. The local's retiree membership is 3,200 strong.

Local 685
The 7,000 active members of UAW Local 685 work at DaimlerChrysler’s Kokomo ( Ind. ) Transmission Plant and Indiana Transmission Plant, as well as American Vending Food Services, Eurest Food Services and Staywell. Local 685 also includes 3,000 retirees.

Local 862
Based in Louisville, Ky., this local represents over 9,500 members who build the Ford Explorer, Explorer Sport Trac, Excursion, Mountaineer and F-250 and F-350 pickup trucks. The local also represents 2,500 retirees.

Local 1111
Local 1111 represents 2,600 members who work at Visteon Automotive Systems in Indianapolis, where they make steering gears, pumps and columns for the Big Three and other automakers. Some 1,800 retirees also belong to the local.

Local 1457
The Greensburg, Ind., local union that represents workers at ML-KS Bearing Inc.

Local 2209
This Roanoke, Ind., local union represents workers at General Motors' Fort Wayne Assembly plant, part of GM's Truck & Bus group.

Local 3044
Chartered in February 2003, Local 3044 represents approximately 200 workers at AK Steel in Rockport, Ind., where they make finish steel for the automotive and home appliance industries.

Local 3047
Organized in 2004, Local 3047’s 1,000 members work for Dana Corp., in Elizabethtown, Ky., where they make truck frames for Ford Motor Company.

Local 3050
Local 3050 represents about 150 hourly employees at Autocar in Hagerstown, Ind. We proudly build Class 8 refuse trucks for Autocar. This local was chartered in October 2003 .

Local 9212
Founded in 1990 as a joint local of the UAW and AFT (American Federation of Teachers), Local 9212 represents 8,500 Indiana state employees in 43 agencies. These include the Indiana Department of Transportation, the Family and Social Services Administration, the Department of Correction and the Department of Natural Resources. Members work in a variety of occupations including skilled trades, correctional officers, police, firefighters, health care and telecommunications.

Maurice DavisonMaurice "Mo" Davison was elected director of UAW Region 3 on June 14, 2006 at the UAW's 34th Constitutional Convention in Las Vegas. Region 3 covers Indiana and Kentucky.   Davison had served as assistant director of the region since June 2004.  

He was appointed to the staff of the UAW in January 2000 and assigned to servicing UAW local unions in Region 3. His duties included contract negotiations, arbitrations, conducting educational programs and teaching at the UAW's Walter and May Reuther Family Education Center.

Davison is a second-generation UAW member; his father, Maurice, was a UAW Local 550 member for 25 years until his death in 1975.

Davison began his career as a trade union activist in 1968, when he joined UAW Local 550 upon starting work at the Chrysler Foundry in Indianapolis. While at Chrysler, he completed a skilled trades apprenticeship and in 1972 graduated as a journeyman electrician.

In 1975, Davison joined UAW Local 933, when he began working at GM's Allison Transmission plant in Speedway, Ind. Over the years, Davison served on various local union committees. He also served as an appointed health and safety representative and conducted health and safety training programs and participated in contract negotiations.

In 1995, UAW Local 933 members elected Davison president; he was re-elected in 1998. A longtime political activist, Davison has served as a Democratic precinct committeeperson, delegate to the Democratic National Convention, delegate to the Indiana Democratic State Convention and chair of the Greater Marion UAW Community Action Program (CAP) Council, the union's political action arm.  Davison is also a member of the Democratic National Committee (DNC).

Davison also has served on the Indiana Central Eight Workforce Investment Board, the Indiana Unemployment Insurance Board and the Hoosier State Apprenticeship Committee. He is active in various labor organizations, including the Coalition of Labor Union Women (CLUW) and the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists (CBTU).

Davison was born on March 1, 1949 in New Albany, Ind. Mo and his wife, Linda, a retiree of UAW Local 933, reside in Central Indiana.
